Then God said,"I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and evey tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." Genesis 1:29

Located in a Madison, MS, subdivision, we are turning our yard into a sustainable urban garden, our Garden of Eden.  The goal is to grow as much food as possible on our appx. one-acre lot, organically, to benefit our family, neighbors and community.

We began in the spring of 2009 by removing 20 of our 40+ year-old pine trees to open the yard up for replanting.  We also plowed up a nice plot in our backyard and planted a vegetable garden.  Eventually, all ornamentals will be replaced with edible herbs, plants, shrubs and trees.

Our BLOG will record our endeavors as they happen, and will also be a source of encouragement and education for anyone wanting to join us on this adventure.  Your experiences and advice are welcomed!

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

Raw Salsa, Veggies from the Eden  Garden, and Avacado - just add some ww bread, baked scoops, or pita bread
There are many websites devoted to the raw diet, but I have been a follower of Hallelujah Acres for years (off and on the diet in various degrees), and I trust their advice and research.
What are the two most tiring days of your life?  Yesterday and tomorrow.  We worry about what we didn't get done yesterday, and we worry about what we need to do tomorrow, however worrying is not productive.     Much of our days and nights can be consumed with worrying about our yesterdays and tomorrows, but this does not need to be our reality..............
